Raspberry Jam Wattle
Acacia acuminata
(This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List)
A native of southern West Australia with a light presence in S.A. VIC. & NSW, this tree grows as a tall shrub to small tree usually about 5 metres in height. It is tolerant of frost, saline soil and drought. It has a durable wood that is used for fence posts and wood-craft items and is grown as a shelterbelt for Sandalwood plantations.
It was named the Raspberry Jam Wattle because when the timber is sawn a strong odour reminiscent of raspberry jam is released.
The name is often shortened to Raspberry Wattle or Jam Wattle.
Offered is a packet of 30 seeds and Grownotes to assist your successful propagation.
All my seed travels safely with bubble wrap protection.
