HICKORY WATTLE

Acacia falcata

A native of New South Wales, it prefers light to medium, well-drained soils in an open, sunny position. Hardy, it is drought and frost resistant.

An evergreen tree to  3 metres with a spread of 2 metres, with smooth, leathery, green leaves to 15 cm and the flowers are creamy white appearing in early winter.

The Aboriginals used the bark of this tree as a fish poison and as a cure for skin diseases.

Offered is a packet of 30 seeds and Grownotes to assist your successful propagation.
