Zigzag Wattle
Acacia macradenia
(This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List)
A native of Queensland which likes stony, well-drained soils in a sunny, open position. It is drought-resistant but will only accept light frosts.
The Zigzag Wattle is so named because its stems change direction each time a leaf is grown. An evergreen tree growing to 4 metres with a spread of 2 metres, the branchlets are pendulous and give the plant an attractive weeping habit. The flowers are pale yellow balls, occurring in large, pendant clusters in winter and spring.
This wattle will tolerate hot, dry conditions and most soils while being bird attracting.
Offered is a packet of approx. 300 fresh seeds and Grownotes to assist you in their cultivation.
