Australian Baobab or Bottle Tree

Adansonia gregorii

A native of inland Australia where it is adaptable to most soils in a sunny, open position. It is drought hardy but dislikes frost.

A deciduous tree growing to a height of 20 metres with a spread of 15 metres. The stem is thick and swollen with thick, greyish bark; the leaves are bright green with ovate-acuminate (oval and pointed) leaflets; the flowers are white and fluffy; the fruit is long and sausage shaped. 

Offered is a packet of 5 seeds and Grownotes to assist you to cultivate this unusual native tree.
