Spoon-Leaved Aeonium

Aeonium spathulatum

(This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List)

A native of the Canary Islands, this plant is unusual in that it prolifically branches and reaches 90 cm (36 in) tall, to form a dense shrub with many 5cm rosettes of spoon-shaped leaves which take on a red flush in strong light.

This Aeonium prefers soils that hold a little moisture, that is, not free draining but will suffer root-rot if it is too much. It also likes a semi-shaded position

Flowering occurs in the cooler months in clusters arising from each rosette to 20 cm above the foliage. Flowers are yellow and prolific.

Offered is a pack of 20 seeds with grownotes.

All my seed is posted in bubble wrap protection.
