Floss Flower Shell Pink

Ageratum mexicanum cv

This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List

The Floss Flower (Ageratum mexicanum) Shell Pink cultivar is an annual plant from Mexico. There are some 40 species spread over Central and South America. Because of its origin, this plant performs well in hot, humid climates and surprisingly will withstand temperatures down to a few degrees above freezing.

Growing to a height of  13-15 cm (5-6 in) with a spread of 23-25 cm (9-10 in), it has a mounded habit and is suitable for borders, pots and containers. Flowering from late Spring through Summer, you can expect the soft, feathery flowers consisting of 5 to 15 tubular florets to be various shades of blue, pink, lavender and white.

Ageratum flowers persist on the plant for a long time and do not appear to have any pests or diseases.

Offered is a packet of  30 seeds complete with Grownotes to assist you in their propagation.

All my seed is posted in bubble wrap protection.
