Arenaria montana is native to the French/Spanish Pyrenees and Portugal where it lives in well-drained sand-based soils. It is very cold hardy but dislikes humidity and drought. Growing to a height of 14-22 cm (6-9 in.) with greyish-green leaves 1-3 cm (0.5-1 in.) long it profusely produces white flowers in spring.

Suitable for mountain climates and cold winter climates as a rockery plant or groundcover, it is delightful sight that heralds the coming of spring.

Offered is a packet of 20 seeds complete with propagation instructions.
