Popcorn Cassia

Cassia didymobotrya

(This plant is NOT on the Australian Noxious Weed List)

A native of tropical Africa where it prefers light to medium soils in an open, sunny position. Surprisingly, it is both drought and frost tolerant.

A very showy evergreen shrub growing to 2.5 metres (10 feet) with a spread of 1.5 metres. The stem is slender and erect; the 30cm leaves are divided into leaflets (pinnate); the flowers are bright yellow 50mm across and occur continuously spring through autumn. The flowers produce a scent similar to that of buttered popcorn, (though some say peanut butter) hence its common name.

Offered is a packet of 20 seeds and Grownotes to assist you to cultivate this very showy tree.

All my seed is posted in bubble wrap protection.
