This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List.
There are two species of Chrysanthemum that are popular with gardeners as flowering annuals. This is one of them, the other has yellow flowers.
Growing to a height of 25cm (10in) with a spread of 37cm (15in) with a mounding habit, it has profuse, single, small, white flowers all over the plant. Flowering is in summer and if blooming diminishes, the plant can be cut back by half to encourage new growth and flowering.
Uses for this plant are numerous. It can be used in mixed plantings to cool down hot colours and intensify dark ones. The trailing habit is excellent for use on hanging baskets and it is good in rock gardens, along paths and borders. A very versatile plant.
