A native of the New South Wales and Southern Queensland coastal plains and ranges of eastern Australia. This small heath plant is adaptable to most soils and climatic conditions.

A small shrub to 1 metre with needle-like leaves and terminal racemes of bright yellow pea flowers with a red throat in spring.
