A native of the Great Dividing Range, this evergreen tree grows on the top of the range, western slopes and plains and extends from Dirranbandi, Queensland to the Alpine country of Victoria. It is a major Koala food & is very hardy being drought and frost resistant.
A medium tree reaching 24 metres (66 ft), its trunk bears a whitish, smooth bark with multi-coloured patches. The leaves are bluish-green, lanceolate and evergreen. The flower buds appear in August to December and the flowers are white.
A major source of Koala food.
Offered is a packet of approximately 200 seeds (includes chaff) with Grownotes. Buyers should read the disclaimer below.
All Eucalyptus/Corymbia seed is harvested from the wild under licence and is sold as a combination of fertilised/unfertilised (chaff) seed. In many cases, it is not possible to tell the difference. The ratio of fertilised seed varies greatly and depends wholly on weather conditions prior to seed set. Standard industry practice is to offer 200 seeds per packet which translate to something like 10 to 30 viable seeds (which have not been counted). If the above is not acceptable to you, please do not purchase any of the above seeds.
All my seed is posted in bubble wrap protection.
