Eucalyptus gunnii

A native of Tasmania where it prefers light to heavy, well drained soils in an open, sunny position. It is frost tolerant to minus 15 degrees C but dislikes drought.

The stem is erect, branching and smooth barked mottles with grey-green and orange; the leaves are greyish-green, leathery, lanceolate, 8 cm long with undulating margins; the flowers are white appearing in summer and the fruit are yellow-brown, goblet-shaped, valved capsules.

Seed of this tree is perhaps the most sold of all Eucalyptus.

Offered is a packet of 30 seeds (pure seed no chaff) along with Grownotes to assist you in their propagation.
