Queensland White Stringybark or Ramonie Stringybark

Eucalyptus tindaliae syn phaerotricha

(This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List.)

Native to north-eastern New South Wales and the coastal plain of south-east Queensland, this tree prefers heavy clay soils in a sunny, open position. It dislikes drought and frost. An evergreen tree growing to a height of 30 metres (100ft) and a spread of 8 metres (26ft).

The trunk is erect, straight and branching with a  persistent, grey to red-brown stringy bark. The leaves are a glossy green, straight, broadly lanceolate, 7-13cm long (3-5in) and the flowers are in clusters of eleven or more and are white; the fruit are globular capsules with valves at or below the rim level.

Offered is a packet of 200 seeds (includes chaff) with propagation notes. Buyers should read the disclaimer below.

DISCLAIMER.

All Eucalyptus/Corymbia seed is harvested from the wild under licence and is sold as a combination of fertilised/unfertilised (chaff) seed. In many cases, it is not possible to tell the difference. The ratio of fertilised seed varies greatly and depends wholly on weather conditions prior to seed set. Standard industry practice is to offer 200 seeds per packet which translate to something like 10 to 30 viable seeds (which have not been counted). If the above is not acceptable to you, please do not purchase any of the above seeds.

All my seed is posted in bubble wrap protection.
