Pineapple Guava

Feijoa sellowiana

A native of South America, it is adaptable to most soils and prefers an open, sunny position. It is drought tender but will withstand temperatures to minus 7 degrees C with snow and ice.

An evergreen shrub that grows to a height of 2.5 metres with a spread of 2 metres, with grey-green oval leaves with paler underside (discolorous). The flowers are fuschia-like and appear in Spring. The fruit is a dull green, 7.5 cm long with a distinctive pineapple flavour and tiny seeds.

Offered is a packet of 15 seeds and Grownotes to assist you to cultivate this unusual fruit-bearing shrub or small tree.

All seed is posted in bubble wrap protection.
