A native of the Northern Territory, Queensland and West Australia where it prefers light to medium soils in an open, well-drained, semi-shaded position and a warm climate. It dislikes frost.

A small, evergreen tree growing to 8 metres with a spread of 4 metres; the stem is erect with elegant branches and an open-textured crown; the leaves are light green, divided and fern-like with narrow leaflets; the flowers are golden, occurring in erect, one-sided clusters 15cm long, terminal and spectacular.

Offered is a packet of 15 seeds with propagation notes.
