Silky Oak

Grevillea robusta

(This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List.)

A native of northern New South Wales and Southern Queensland where it grows in full sun and is not fussy about soil type. An evergreen tree growing to 40 metres (less in cultivation) it has a rough, furrowed bark, single stem, fern-like leaves, and honey-coloured toothbrush-like flowers. Flowering is in spring preceded by the reduction in foliage carried.

While Silky oak comes from a warm coastal climate, it is cold tolerant to -8°C (18°F) once established and is used for cabinetry, furniture etc from plantations.
Offered is a packet of  20 seeds complete with Grownotes to assist you in their propagation.

All my seed travels safely with bubble wrap protection.

All seed is posted in bubble wrap protection.
