This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List.
The Evening Sun sunflower has been bred for use as a cut flower. It is a multi-headed, early flowering plant that bears a single large flower head initially, followed by branching, each with a smaller but identical bloom. It is this attribute that gives a prolonged flowering.
The flower is of various shades of orange, russet-bronze, mahogany-red and gold with a dark centres.
This plant grows to 1.5 metres tall and may need staking if planted in an exposed position.
Offered is a packet of 30 seeds with cultivation notes.
