Foxtail or Fountain Grass
Pennesetum alopecuroides
(This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List.)
This ornamental grass is known in all states of Australia from the coastal plain to the dry inland. It is a tufted or clump-forming grass that does not spread by underground shoots. It has graceful, arching leaves that grow to 80cm long and bears feathery, purplish flower heads.

Fountain grass changes appearance and colour throughout the growing season (turns yellow in Autumn after flowering) and has a luminous or translucent appearance when the sun is low in the sky.
Offered is a packet of approx. 100 seeds with propagation notes.
All seed is posted in bubble wrap protection.
