Pleiospilos nelii

(This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List)

A native of the Little Karoo on the border between East Cape & West Cape and extending northwards into the Great Karoo, South Africa. A small succulent growing to 8 cm high with a spread of 10cm, it consists or two or four leaves which are replaced yearly.
The leaves are stemless, almost hemispherical in shape, grey-green or brownish and are completely covered in dark green spots (the name {Pleirospilos means covered in spots).
Flowering is early to late spring and the plant may produce several flowers at the same time. Flowers are daisy-like, yellow-orange, grow from the crease between the two leaves and are large so as to cover the entire plant at times. New leaves are also produced  from the leaf crease.

Offered is a packet of 20 seeds with Grownotes to assist you.
