A native of the arid inland of Australia where it prefers light to medium soils in a sunny, open position. It is drought and frost resistant.

Growing to a height of just 60cm with a spread of 1 metre, this perennial has an erect stem with dense, compact crown, silvery-grey, rounded leaves and pink and grey flowers occurring in erect feathery spikes in spring.   

Plants of this genus are undergoing trials for suitability for the Australian export cut flower industry.

Offered is a packet of 30 seeds with propagation notes.
