 English Oak

Quercus robur

This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List.
The Holm Oak is native to countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea, on coastal strips from Spain to Greece, Morocco to Tunisia. An evergreen tree growing to 20 metres (60 ft) in favourable conditions, It is a long-lived tree, with a large wide-spreading crown of rugged branches. Preference is for deep fertile loam soils but also thrives in all soils except those that are poorly drained.
Despite its Mediterranean origin, it is tolerant of drought, cold (to -10°C), seaside positions and pollution. It responds well to training, pruning and clipping and can be used for hedging, windbreaks and topiary. It is widely planted as a streetscape tree.

Offered is a packet of 5 large seeds (acorns) with propagation instructions.
