Crown Cactus Species Mix
Rebutia species
(This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List)
A cactus family from Bolivia and Argentina is commonly known as the Crown cacti. They are small, globular, mostly spineless, ridgeless cacti with regular tubercles and flowers that are large relative to the size of the plant. Freely flowering with a multitude of flower colours, they are popular as a house plant.
Growing just 3-8 cm wide and 6-8 cm tall in their natural habitat, they grow larger and cluster more vigorously in cultivation.
This species prefers an open mineral mix with lots of pumice. Overwatering or allowing the mix to retain water encourages the plant to rot. However, this plant is regarded as very easy to grow and is recommended for beginners.
Offered is a packet of 20 seeds with Grownotes to assist you.
