This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List
A native of Mexico and Southern USA where it is known as the Mealy or Mealy Cup Sage, this plant is compact with typical sage-like leaves. A shrub growing to 30 – 35 cm (12-14 in) bearing mixed colour flowers, it has been bred into a dwarfed plant. It has won a Gold Medal because of its 15 cm (6 in) coloured spikes of flowers.
Hardy in USDA Zones 8-10, it is heat and drought tolerant. Grown in full sun on well-drained soils it will give an excellent garden performance.
