Salvia Mojave is regarded as the best cultivar of Salvia splendens. An improved, dwarf annual with dark green, dense, spreading foliage growing to a height of  40 cm (18 in), it carries brilliant, eye-attracting, red spikes with masses of blooms in summer. It is tolerant of drought and high humidity conditions and retains the intense colour throughout the blooming season.
