Chinese Forget-Me-Not Mystic Pink
Cynoglossum amabile cv
This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List.
A native of China, it is adaptable to most well-drained soils and is frost resistant but dislikes drought.
A biennial plant grown as an annual, it attains 45cm (18in) in height and spread. The stems are erect, hairy and branching; the leaves dull green and oblong to lanceolate; the flowers are pink, funnel shaped and appear mid to late summer. Dead-heading will promote prolonged flowering while if left this plant will self seed.
Care should be taken with fertiliser as over use will promote leaf growth at the expense of flowering.
