The flowers are small blue blossoms held just above the foliage, the subsequent fruit is a small round indigo coloured berry that persists on the plant for a long time.

This plant may be lifted and divided to increase your plantings.

The fruit of this species were eaten by the aboriginals (some species were not) and the leaves used to weave dilly bags.
