Eucalyptus cambageana

(This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List.)

A native of eastern and central Queensland where it prefers clay soils in an open, sunny position. It will tolerate drought and mild frost.

An evergreen tree to 40 metres with a spread of 6 metres. The stem is stout, erect and branching with finely cracked dark grey bark at the base and smooth, white bark above. The leaves are greyish green, 15cm long, curved-lanceolate and pendant; the flowers buds are green, club shaped occurring in groups of 3 to 8; the flowers are white, occurring in globose, terminal clusters in summer.

Offered is a packet of 200 seeds (includes chaff) and Grownotes. Buyers should read the disclaimer below.

All Eucalyptus/Corymbia seed is harvested from the wild under licence and is sold as a combination of fertilised/unfertilised (chaff) seed. In many cases, it is not possible to tell the difference. The ratio of fertilised seed varies greatly and depends wholly on weather conditions prior to seed set. Standard industry practice is to offer 200 seeds per packet which translate to something like 10 to 30 viable seeds (which have not been counted). If the above is not acceptable to you, please do not purchase any of the above seeds.

All my seed is posted in bubble wrap protection.
