Heliotrope Marine

Heliotropium arborescens cv
This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List.

The Heliotrope is a perennial plant best grown as a half-hardy annual in cold climates.

A herb growing to 50 cm (20 in) high and an equal spread, this plant has large purple-red flower umbels (flower heads) which have a strong vanilla scent. Europeans have long grown it for the vanilla scent alone.

Ideal for pots and containers, it prefers full sun in a protected position and moist, well-drained soil. Flowering from summer until autumn, the flowers are also nectar-rich and attract butterflies, bees and other pollinating insects.

Offered is a packet of approx. 50 seeds and Grownotes to assist you to cultivate this pleasantly scented plant.

All my seed is posted in bubble wrap protection.
