Nolina recurvata

(This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List.)

A native of Mexico and a member of the Agave family, this tree prefers a warm climate (minimum warm temperate) and is drought and frost tender if grown outside in a sunny position. However, it also makes an ideal indoor plant being narrow spreading.

An evergreen plant with large basal swelling it grows to 3 metres (10ft) but if container-grown it rarely exceeds 1.5 metres (5ft). The stem is erect and sometimes branching while the leaves are mid-green, slender and recurving. They can be up to 2 metres long (6.5ft).

The flowers are small, white and insignificant in spring. This plant is grown for its unusual shape and form.

Offered is a packet of 20 seeds with propagation notes.

All my seed is posted in bubble wrap protection.
