This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List.
This Peony Poppy is fascinatingly large, with fully double, mixed colour flowers. Peony Poppies send up thick flower stems that may rise to 1.5 metres (5 ft) and produce five to ten nodding blooms which, went spent, show light green round seed pods suitable for dried flower arrangements and other crafts.
Fast-growing in deep, well-drained soils in full sun or in large containers on the patio, they benefit greatly from any fertilizer rich in nitrogen plus a little blood and bone. Peony Poppies re-seed if the seed pods are left to mature, so you will have a repeat display in years to come.
Offered is a packet of approx. 500 seeds with propagation notes.
