Primula Louise
Primula malacoides cv
Primula malacoides Louise is an easy to grow annual (sometimes perennial) that produces masses of delicate blooms in bright pink with a bright yellow ‘eye’. Primulas like a sunny or partial shade position and well-drained soils and they are resistant to diseases and pests. BUT, are fussy about when they are planted. The best time is during March/April, there is nothing to stop you from planting at other times it’s just that the plants seem to come away better.
Growing to 30 cm high (12 in) and 30 cm (12 in) wide in a nest of light green, elliptical, serrated leaves, the flowers come 8 -12 weeks after planting which will be winter or very early spring. Flowering can be prolonged by removing individual flowers as they fade in colour.
Offered is a packet of approx. 150 seeds with propagation notes.
All my seed is posted in bubble wrap protection.
