This cultivar of Salvia farinacea is a perennial but grown as an annual in regions with a cold winter. Fast-growing to 45 cm 18 in) tall, it has fragrant, lance-shaped leaves of whitish-grey to medium green, 70 mm long and dense, long-lasting, blue-lipped flower spikes that can grow to 25 cm tall (10 in). It is an outstanding plant for mass plantings, borders or containers.

This Salvia is tolerant of heat, drought, humidity, salt spray, sandy loam to clay loam and full sun but does not like frost.
