Fringe Lily
Thysanotus multiflorus
(This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List)
A native of the southwest of Western Australia, this perennial herb with fleshy tuberous roots grows to 0.3 metres (12in) high.
Preferring peaty sand, gravelly or sandy clay in an open sunny position, it will withstand occasional inundation. Flowering is through September, October and November (southern hemisphere spring) when the showy bright purple blooms persist.
This seed requires smoke treatment to germinate which can be found by searching for ‘smoke treatment’ in my store. Smoke treatment is the simple process of sprinkling treated vermiculite over the sown seeds.
Offered as a packet of approx. 20 seeds with grownotes.
All my seed is posted in bubble wrap protection.
