Agapanthus africanus – Agapanthus White seed x30

A native of South Africa where it is adaptable to most conditions, most soils but prefers an open, sunny position. It is both frost and drought hardy.

A perennial clumping plant, it grows to a height of 1 metre (3ft) with a spread of 1 metre. The stem is erect and flowering, the leaves are dark green, glossy and strap-like; the flowers are white and tubular, with up to 200 blooms occurring ion large globular heads in summer.

Propagation is easy by seed or by division of the clump.
