Branched Cat’s PawAnigozanthos onycis(This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List.) The Branched Cat’s Paw comes from the south coast of Western Australia around Albany. It was first discovered by French botanist La Billardiere who visited the area aboard the Esperence in 1794. It is a little known plant as it does not have the striking colours of other members of the Genus and is rarely seen in cultivation.Despite not having the appeal of other Kangaroo Paws it is one of the parents of the ‘Bush’ series of hybrids that are commonly seen in nurseries.A small clump-forming plant 15-30 cm high in bloom, it is the best flowerer of all the Paws and it that vigour that has made hybrids of all types popular.Offered is a 1 gram packet of approx 1550 seeds and Grownotes to assist you to cultivate this delightful plant.Note: Smoke treatment improves germination. Smoke treatment is the simple process of sprinkling treated vermiculite over the seeds and is available in my store. All my seed is posted in bubble wrap protection.
