(This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List.)
A native of eastern Australia, growing from South Australia through Victoria, New South Wales and into Queensland on the western slopes and plains of the Great Dividing Range. This evergreen tree likes light to medium well-drained soils and is a major Koala food. It is both drought and frost hardy.
A handsome tree to 25 metres with dull green, concolorous foliage at maturity. The bark is rough on the trunk and changes to smooth and whitish-grey after the first limbs.
Offered is a packet of 200 seeds (includes chaff) with propagation notes. Buyers should read the disclaimer below.
All Eucalyptus/Corymbia seed is harvested from the wild under licence and is sold as a combination of fertilised/unfertilised (chaff) seed. In many cases it is not possible to tell the difference. The ratio of fertilised seed varies greatly and depends wholly on weather conditions prior to seed set. Standard industry practice is to offer 200 seeds per packet which translates to something like 10 to 30 viable seeds (which have not been counted). If the above is not acceptable to you, please do not purchase any of the above seeds.
All seed is posted in bubble wrap protection.
