A native of the sand plains and ranges of southern West Australia where it prefers light, sandy soils in an open, sunny position. It is drought and frost resistant.
An evergreen tree to 25 metres and a spread of 6 metres, this Eucalypt was renamed Corymbia calophylla when the bloodwoods were separated out of the genus Eucalyptus.
