This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List.
A native of Australia, found in all States except the far north regions, this shrub is adaptable to most soils and prefers an open, sunny position. It is drought and frost resistant.
An evergreen annual or short-lived perennial shrub of compact form growing to 100-130 cm (34-48 in) with a spread of 20 cm (6 in), it has silvery-grey leaves. The flowers of this hybrid plant are of multiple compact bracts surrounding a bright yellow centre (true flowers) which comes in a variety of colours. Flowering is spring through summer. This plant seeds freely in the garden but is not invasive and may be treated as an annual.
