Heuchera Emperor’s Cloak
Heuchera (pronounced hew-ker’-a) is also known as Coral Bells and Alum Root. Native to North America where it likes sun to mostly shade, well drained soil and is winter hardy in USDA zones 3 – 8.
This hybrid has been bred for its rich purple leaf colour which take on a translucent quality in sunlight. Additionally the leaves are puckered, folded and ruffled leaves giving a sculptured effect.
This plant grows in a neat clump 30-45cm high (12-18in) and can be used as borders or potted in a shady courtyard. They are salt and cold tolerant (USDA zones 3-8) and should be divided every 3 years in spring.
Offered is a packet of approx 100 seeds with Grownotes to assist you in their propagation.
