A native of the south-western corner of Western Australia where it likes light soils in an open, sunny position. It is both drought and frost hardy (Zones 9 – 11).
An evergreen climber, it will climb to a height of 3 metres or will be a trailing creeper in the absence of something to climb on. The stem is vigorous, hairy, twining and densely textured. The leaves are light green and divided into three leaflets 6cm long, the flowers are orange-red, pea-shaped occurring in long clusters. Flowering is profuse in spring.
Offered is a packet of 10 seeds complete with propagation notes.
