Blue Lechenaultia

Lechenaultia biloba

A native of Western Australia, it prefers light soils in an open, sunny position. It is both drought and frost hardy.

A perennial plant, it grows to 0.6 metres with a spread of 0.5 metres. The stem is straggly and suckering, the leaves are light green and soft; the profuse flowers are a brilliant blue appearing winter to spring.

This seed requires smoke treatment to germinate and will not germinate without it.  ‘Smoke treatment’ can be found in my store. Smoke treatment is the simple process of sprinkling treated vermiculite over the sown seeds.

Offered is a packet of approximately 25 seeds with propagation notes.

All seed is posted in bubble wrap protection.
