 Musk Mallow

Malva moschata rosea

This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List.

A European & South-Wesgt Asian wildflower and a close cousin to the Hollyhock but much shorter in habit. It is adaptable to any well-drained soil, frost and drought tolerant with a preference for a sunny position.

A perennial plant growing to a height of 0.6 metres and with a spread of 0,5 metres. The stem is thick, hairy and erect; the leaves are light green, kidney-shaped with 5 – 7 lobes. This mallow has a range of medicinal and food uses and parts of the plant are edible. This plant will self-seed if not dead-headed. However, it is not invasive.

Flowering is from mid-summer to early autumn and the blooms attract butterflies. It is suitable for cut flowers, containers, borders and massed planting with the addition of being rabbit resistant.
Offered is a packet of 100 seeds with propagation instructions.

All my seed is posted in bubble wrap protection.
