Eastern Catmint
Nepetes mussini
Originally a native of the Eastern Mediterranean, it is now found to grow all over the world.
This groundcover plant grows 30 – 60 cm high and spreads an equal amount. It is a grey-green foliaged plant with masses of lavender tubular flowers on long spikes in the summer months. Autumn flowering can be promoted by summer deadheading.
A hardy perennial that will tolerate cold and drought, it is known to survive USDA zone 4 conditions but should not be sown before the last expected frost. It is not fussy about soil type and thrives in full sun or part shade.
Catmint foliage can be cut and dried for use as a tea or potpourri ingredient, the leaves being aromatic.
Offered is a packet containing approximately 50 seeds and Grownotes.
All my seed is posted in bubble wrap protection.
