Boston or Japanese Ivy
Parthenocissus tricuspidata
This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List
A native of Asia, Boston or Japanese Ivy is not an Ivy at all but rather a member of the Vitaceae or grape family. It is a particularly vigorous climber for rapidly covering large walls or fences.
A deciduous climber, its three-lobed leaves turn brilliant shades of red, yellow and purple in autumn. This climber attaches itself by means of disc-like suckers which will permanently mark the climbing surface and care should be taken in selecting a growing site.
This ivy likes a full sun position for maximum autumn colour, some reasonable
support to climb on and is excellent for covering unsightly fences.
Offered is a packet of approx. 150 seeds with propagation notes.
All my seed is posted in bubble wrap protection.
