This cultivar of Salvia splendens is an annual in cold regions. A fast-growing dwarf to 20 cm (8 in) tall, it has fragrant, lance-shaped leaves of dark green, 75mm long and dense, long-lasting, flower spikes in four colours red, lilac, violet white and some unusual bicolors. It is an outstanding plant for mass plantings, borders or containers.
This Salvia is tolerant of heat, drought, humidity, salt spray, sandy loam to clay loam and full sun but does not like frost.
