This Sedum (also known as Stonecrop) is a hardy, evergreen, perennial succulent with a bright red flower head containing hundreds of individual flowers. The succulent leaves are purple, fleshy and everpurple(?).

Growing to a height of 100 cm to 1 m, it will thrive in full sun and tolerate hot, dry conditions.

Sedums are very adaptable and only require sun and well-drained soils. They are ideal for rock gardens, pot culture, wall niches and mass planted as a flowering ground cover. They tolerate deer, rabbits, drought, heat & humidity, pollution, seashore. slopes, wind and USDA 4 -9.

Flowering time is mid-summer to autumn.
