Aeonium simsii

A native of the Canary Islands, this plant is unusual in that it prolifically branches and reaches 20cm (8 in) tall: more like a Sempervivum rather than Aeonium.
Bearing relatively small rosettes of leaves, it forms a dense cushion of ground hugging rosettes. Each leaf is bright green, strap-like with pointed tips. The lower surface of the leaf is marked by many dark green short lines running lengthwise and the upper side may have a purplish-brown stripe down the centre of the leaf. The leaf margins are covered in soft cilia (hairs) giving them a delicate fringing.
Flowering occurs in Spring and are almost flat-topped clusters arising from each rosette. Flowers are yellow and prolific.
Offered is a pack of 20 seeds with grownotes.
