Queen Victoria Agave or Royal Agave is a native of the Chihuahuan Desert in Mexico. It is noted for symmetrical shape, white streaks on its beautifully sculptured leaves and its striking 4 metre (12 ft) flower spike on such a small plant.
Growing to 0.5 metres (18 in) tall and wide, composed of short, rigid, thick leaves with distinctive white markings on the leaf margins. Marginal teeth are mostly absent while the leaf point may have 1 to 3 spines up to 3 cm in length.
It is reasonably cold hardy and often used in milder northern gardens as an accent plant.
