Red Centred Hibiscus

Alyogyne hakeifolia

The Red-Centred Hibiscus, or Alyogyne hakeifolia, is a native of South and West Australia where it grows as a 2 metre hardy,  evergreen shrub. It has a hakea-like leaf and a single blue or yellow hibiscus-like flower with a red centre that keeps on flowering up the stem as it grows.

Surviving all but the very hardest of frosts, it tolerates most soils but does not like wet, boggy soils. It should be pruned to overcome its untidy habit. Flowering is in Spring and Summer.

Offered is a packet of 30 seeds and Grownotes to assist you to cultivate this easily grown native.

All my seed is posted in bubble wrap protection.
