Albany Cat’s Paw or Quoll’s PawAnigozanthos preissii(This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List.) A native of West Australia’s southern coastal and adjacent inland areas around the town of Albany. This plant has a multitude of common names and for those who have never met our endangered quoll I’ve added the last picture.An upright perennial herb with long leaves which emerge from a rhizome beneath the soil. Growing to a height of 80cm with a spread of 30cm; the stem is simple, unbranched and flowering; the leaves are a medium green, sickle shaped, smooth, tufted and stiffly hairy on the inner margin; the flowers are an orange-red and yellow, paw-like and obliquely tubular, appearing from winter to summer.Offered is a packet of 40 seeds complete with Grownotes to assist you in their propagation.Note: Smoke treatment improves germination. Smoke treatment is the simple process of sprinkling treated vermiculite over the seeds and is available in my store.All my seed is posted in bubble wrap protection.
